The HHRD series sensors are 26 GHz high-frequency radar level measurement instruments that output a 4-20mA analog signal. They can measure distances up to 70 meters. The antenna has been further optimized, and the new, high-speed microprocessor enables rapid signal analysis. This makes the sensor suitable for complex measurement conditions, such as those found in reaction vessels or solid material silos. The sensor emits narrow microwave pulses at high frequency. These pulses are transmitted downward through the antenna. When the microwaves encounter the surface of the measured medium, they are reflected back. The reflected microwaves are received by the antenna system and then converted into a level signal by the electronic circuitry.
